Homeland Tour

Recently, I drove to Calgary to reconnect with family and friends, and the Calgary Music Scene.  I performed 5 different shows in 5 cool original music venues, attended a few open mics/stages, visited the National Music Centre and reconnected with family and friends – mission accomplished!

Bad Neighbor Update

By now, we’ve been through countless rehearsals, numerous load-ins/take-downs and a few shows under our belt.  We just keep progressing – getting tighter with our songlist, performing as a team, and listening to each other.  We are still on a journey to finding our sound together – the road is interesting and inspiring!

I’m honoured to have Bad Neighbor cover my music!  With the harmonies, talented playing and opportunities to solo to my own music – I’m ecstatic!  Bad Neighbor is exposing my music  to an entirely different demographic  – mission accomplished!

Below is a gallery of awesome photographs taken by Nathan Codd at our last gig.  Check out his website here:

Recording with Marco Levesque

Recording with Marco Levesque – gifted sound engineer, mixer and producer – to lay down some of my latest creations. I’ve been writing non-stop for the past year and a half, and am very excited about debuting my songs. Just in the early stages of rehearsing with a bass player and drummer, I look forward to playing live shows very soon. Meanwhile, I’m hitting as many open stages as I am able, to showcase my new songs. I’ve been working with a loop station to enhance my live performances with harmonies and backup tracks created in the moment.

Carla Olive Hosts Open Mic at Cafe Koi

Open Mic Tuesdays @8:00 PM, Cafe Koi

Tuesday nights I host the open mic at Cafe’ Koi for new and emerging singer/songwriters looking for a unique and welcoming venue to present their original material. Koi is committed to being a fresh alternative to the usual pub/bar open mic scene and will promote an encouraging listening environment for artists and appreciators of original music.
